As promised, here's a photo of my flapper girl Tooth cosplay and the other Rise of the Guardians cosplayers I ran into.

Photo Ahead )

With that said, Stu and I are already thinking of what cosplay to do for Hal-con 2014. (We're not going to 2013 one cause we just don't have the extra money for it this year.)

I want to do two cosplay and one of them will be my steampunk costume, however, Stu is thinking about doing a young North from the Guardians of Childhood novels. So, to go with that it has me thinking of either trying to do Bunny (novel or movie), Katherine for just do my flapper girl Tooth costume again. I think anyone of them would be good, but I wouldn't mind opinions.

I came back from Animaritime yesterday and this year, the theme was steampunk.  So, I decided to do a steampunk Applejack and I got to meet up with fellow pony cosplayers.  Here are some of the photos of the shoots.

Not the best shot, but it's a good close up to the freckles I put on my face.

This is probably my favorite photo taken of me, it shows off my skirt and everything.

More Photos Ahead )

Some of you will remember when I was deciding on what to cosplay this year for AnimeMaritime. Well, I decided to go for Applejack because of two reasons. One, it's cheaper and I'm watching costs this year due to the wedding. The second reason was the deciding factor, I found out on the Animemaritime forums there's going to be a My Little Pony cosplaying group. I've never been in a cosplaying group, so I decided to do Applejack and then do human Zelgadis next year. (And hopefully get a Slayers cosplaying group for next year.)

However, there's a twist. Turns out this year's theme is steampunk and the one that is running the MLP cosplay group is going to do a steampunk Rainbow Dash. So, I decided to do a steampunk Applejack. I'm going to go for a steampunk cowgirl look and the clothes I got were cheap and they're also comfy.

I'm just debating on whether I should carrying a toy gun and holster or just have a lasso. ^_^ I promise to take pictures once I'm done.

I know I've mention this before and I know it's kind of early to think of cosplay for Anime Maritime 2012, but hey I like being organized. Plus, it's easier to find things when I'm not crunch for time.

I'm currently torn between three cosplays.

First is human Zelgadis from Evolution-R: the problem with this is that this would be the most expensive and time consuming (money for wig, cloth for cape, ect). On the other hand, it would be fun going as my favorite Slayers character. If I don't do Zel this year, I'll probably do it next year when I don't have a wedding hanging over my head too.

Second, normal Applejack. This would bet the cheapest as easiest since I already have a cowboy hat and the most expensive thing I would buy is a good blond wig. Granted, I did go as normal Fluttershy last year. Of course, I wouldn't have to change out of custom when I went out to eat with friends during the con. XP

Third, I just thought of this, galloping gala Applejack. This would be a bit more difficult than normal Applejack, but still easier than Zel. Also, I can probably find either a dress, or a green shirt and skirt to pull this off. I haven't seen any photos of a galloping gala Applejack cosplay, so it would be fun to be something different.

Anyway, I wouldn't mind opinions from you guys. What do you think?

This year, in July, since we're going to spend the night and stay for two days for AnimeMaritime I decided to cosplay this.

I had originally thought of going as Ryoko from Ookami-san, but that was before Stu and I started to watch Star Driver. So, now I'm thinking about making one of the girl uniforms which wouldn't be too hard to make since I would mainly have to make the jacket. (It's the green on in the picture.)

school uniform

I may end up changing my mind again, but Stu is also considering making a male school uniform or at least making one of the Glittering Star masks. XD

Also, for those interested, I still have two slots opened in my craft meme if anyone wants to request anything. ^_~
